At CrossFit Templum we believe that your body is a temple given to you by God. We should “honor our temple,” by taking care of it mentally, physically and spiritually. Our motto is “honora templum tuum,” which means honor your temple in Latin. Before every WOD we speak in the natural a declarations over our workout to mentally prepare us for what is to come.
“I am Strong…I am a Warrior…I will discipline my body and keep it under control…I will reach my goals…I will not let good be robber of the best…For this is the day the Lord has made let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Each statement is backed by scripture and is truly why CrossFit Templum was founded. Honor in the Greek means: “A valuing,” valuable, precious, weighty, such as gold. Other definitions include, appreciation, esteem, favorable regard, and respect. By honoring our body, we honor ourselves, which will help us to honor others.

I started out a scrawny teenager with a caved in chest (pectus excavatum). I was determined to change my body image. Once I was able to make these changes it not only improved me physically, but also gave me emotional self-confidence. This self confidence carried over into all areas of my life. These changes were so dramatic that I was able to physically portray, with confidence, one of the most well known film Icons of our time. Sylvester Stallone created a whole franchise of physical action heroes in the “Rocky” and “Rambo” film series. I, in turn, was able to perform these characters on film, in commercials and on stage, around the world with convincing physicality. I am still performing as a Stallone tribute artist when requested. I recently completed two print projects involving the next “Rocky” movie.
In 1989, I became a certified personal trainer, and in1994, I opened Jade’s Jym Service and Turtle Creek Personal Training.
Now, my personal mission is to pass on my experience and techniques to my clients to help them reach their potential.
I feel confident we can attain that same success for you, together.

While playing college football, our team’s head strength and conditioning coach recognized my passion for the world of athletic performance and strength training. The more I learned, the more my desire to help athletes maximize their potential grew. Following my undergraduate work I earned a Master’s degree in Exercise Science and, as part of that program, was mentored by and worked for Geno Pierce. Mr. Pierce owns Performance Course, located in Allen, Texas. My time with PC included working with state championship caliber teams across the metroplex from Highland Park to Mesquite.
